My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elphaba (Delphie) was named after Elphaba in the Broadway musical, 'Wicked'. In the play, Elphaba sings a solo that includes these words: 'Every so often we long to steal to the land of what might have been.' Despite the fact that Delphie did not have the life she deserved in the past, she is very hopeful for the future. She is ready for your heart and home, and you will not find a sweeter dog than Delphie.
You would never know that the first years of her life were so 'wicked'. Delphie holds no grudges - she is not looking back. Foster Mom says that Delphie is very affectionate and comfortable with people. She is young for her age (just turned seven) - has puppy curiosity and playfulness without puppy 'manners'. She enjoys her walks on the leash.
In less than two weeks, she will be allowed to play freely in the back yard. Her Heartworm treatments are completed, and she is up to date on all shots. Delphie seems to do well with other dogs and is interested in their activities. She shows no aggression and does fine with the resident cat. She loves all people. She is coming along wonderfully with her potty manners. Delphie would enjoy living in a home with a fenced yard, but would do fine in an apartment in the city as well. She enjoys her lap time so much! She is doing great on the leash and loves her walks. All Delphie asks is that your heart is as full of love as hers is. Don 't wait too long for this little sweetheart. Make sure you have room for her favorite toy as well. She won't leave here without it.
