Teacher in MO's Story...
Hello everyone! My name is Teacher. I am a beautiful black/red brindle Cairn girl. I only weigh 13 pounds but that’s just right for me. I have been very busy working on my Masters degree in Cairntude. Boy is it a lot of work! I have mastered some of my classes like: Toys- I love to play with balls and stuffies! Laundry- I love to steal socks (clean or dirty) or play tug of war with my foster sister Filipa with either a clean shirt or a toy. Chase- the chase game is fun. I play that every day with the other dogs. I am having trouble with a few of my other classes but I know I can master them with my very own Mommy or Daddy. I need help in: Hand shy- I am still very hand shy. Sometimes Foster Mom can reach for me other times she can't ‘cause I will run away from her. Men - When I see Foster Dad coming, I usually just run for my crate. If it is my idea I will jump up on the couch and let Foster Dad pet me. He can also give me treats when I am in my crate and maybe sometimes when I am out of it. See? I am working on these things! Loud noises don't really bother me, except maybe guns during hunting season. Even Foster Dad’s noisy race car doesn’t bother me.

Teacher is being fostered in Moscow Hills, Missouri in a PRIVATE FOSTER HOME but we allow our dogs to be adopted out all over the United States and Canada!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teacher in MO, a Topeka Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Topeka, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Topeka.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Topeka already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Topeka breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Topeka paves the way for another one to be saved.
