Xena's Story...
Xena is a big sweet bundle of tabby. She is the size of what is more commonly seen in a large male orange tabby, so that makes her very unique. She is a very sweet kitty. Not your typical lap cat but likes to snuggle up against you, begging for pets, which you cannot refuse. She adores being petted and gladly lets you brush her.

She was pulled from the shelter very pregnant and has since weaned all of her kittens and is ready for her forever home. She still has her motherly instincts though. In her foster home, she shares a room with two kittens she has taken under her paw. She grooms them and plays gently with them. She is such a sweet cat and will make someone a wonderful companion.

For adoption information contact Arlene

The adoption fee is $65 which covers all the vet work that has been done including Feline Leukemia and FIV Test plus for kittens their spay/neuter when old enough. For more information or an adoption application please contact

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Xena, a North Wilkesboro Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in North Wilkesboro, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in North Wilkesboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Wilkesboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Wilkesboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Wilkesboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
