Darla (in CT)'s Story...
Darla (in CT) is 3 years old. She's adorably small & a little shy at first, but also sweet, friendly & relaxed once she gets familiar with her situation. She was still relaxed even in a cage in a room that also had barking dogs (who were also confined), so she might be ok with dogs that are friendly or indifferent to her. She apparently likes country music, as that settled her down in the car!

She has been tested for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) & FeLV (feline leukemia virus) & found to be negative, and is already spayed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darla (in CT), a East Hartford Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in East Hartford, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in East Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
