Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Zack! He is our 2 1/2 year old American Bull Dog/Staffordshire. He gets along great with people and prefers to be the only furry one in your life. Love is an under statement to the way he feels about playing ball. He could play ball from dawn till dusk. He even sleeps with his toy balls. He has a great personality and is always walking around wagging his tail and always seems to have a smile ...on. Zack currently lives at a boarding facility that helps us out frequently. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Zack please contact us ASAP.
Zacks Story.
One year ago Zack came to East Bay Animal Rescue and Refuge. He was very ill and practically at his death bed. His owner at the time had taken him to our veterinarian because he was vomiting up green fluid and hadn't eaten in several days. He had also lost more than half his body weight. After hearing that he would need surgery to explore what the cause was the owner left Zack to go get money to pay for his services but instead she left Zack there and abandoned him. Legally we had to wait two weeks to get Zack and for him to be considered abandoned. We knew he would not even make it but a few days. After several phone calls to the owner she finally returned to sign Zack over to us. The following morning Zack was knocked down for surgery. His surgery lasted over an hour and the vet pulled out two bouncy balls from being lodged in his intestine. Part of his intestine had to be removed because it was dying. Zack has made a full recovery and has gained back all his weight. Now he is a happy boy just looking for a home.
