Douglas D. Dog, aka Doug or Dougie, is a funny loving boy, who was originally a city stray. He gets along well with other dogs, but he can get a little nervous when the other dogs get excited about something. He is a very sweet boy, who loves attention from his people. He is pretty well behaved, but doesn't seem to know general training commands, like "sit" or "down". It may be that his previous owner did not speak English, as he initially seemed confused when spoken to, but figured out the general routines pretty quickly.

If you are interested in adopting Doug, please complete an adoption application on our website at: http://www.peisandstrays.com/adoptions.php

About Peis & Strays

About Our Rescue Group...

Peis and Strays is a non-profit all-volunteer organization. It was established by a small group of individuals in the New England area with the intent of helping Chinese Shar Pei find loving homes.

Peis and Strays relies on donations, fund-raising activities and adoption fees for its income. We do not receive any state or federal funds. All donations directly benefit the dogs in our adoption program. We are a 501c3 organization, so your donations are tax deductible. We are always in need of donations and committed volunteers like ourselves. For more information about us, please email us at: info@peisandstrays.com

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a shelter in any specific location, all of our dogs are cared for by foster families in their homes, across New England. Since the dogs are all cared for by private foster families, we ask that the adopter fill out an application before they meet a dog, to show that they are truly interested in adopting.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process includes an application (http://www.peisandstrays.com/adoptions.php), a home visit and the vet reference. Further information about our adoption policies are located at: http://www.peisandstrays.com/adoptinfo.php.
