Sammy's Story...
Hi I'm Sammy I'm about 8 months old and I love kids. I also love other dogs from big ones to small ones. I'm very smart as well. I know how to sit for a treat and I also get a treat when its time to go into my crate. I'm crate trained and house broken too. And I also like cats! I love to play tug of war with my bulldog foster brother all day long. I'm very gentle with my foster human siblings that are 4 and 6 years old. My foster mom says I'm very sweet and smart boy that would make a great addition to a family with kids cats and other dogs. My skin is recovering nicely from demodex (a common non-contagious skin ailment) and I am ready for my new life now.

Sammy is currently in Jackson, Mississippi. Transportation to the New England area is provided by Animal Rescue Front and is included in the adoption fee. If you're interested in taking me into your forever home, please fill out the adoption form here: http://animalrescuefront.org/forms/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammy, a Groton Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Groton, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
