Doris's Story...
DORIS - Female, bulldog mix, 5yrs, 41lbs

Doris is a cuddle bug! She will crawl into your lap and give you kisses, and she loves to flop onto her back for a good belly rub. She is very calm but will run around and play if there is a rope toy present! She loves shaking it and tug of war. She is wonderful in the car and she already knows 'sit'. She seems to be house trained and likely lived with a family before. She is crate trained but she may bark initially when she goes in. She will calm down quickly and sleep soundly through the night. She does pull on the leash and will need work on that but she loves going for a walk and she loves meeting new people.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Doris, a St. Catharines English Bulldog/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Bulldog/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in St. Catharines, or seeking a English Bulldog/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in St. Catharines.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Catharines already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Catharines breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Bulldog/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with English Bulldog/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Catharines paves the way for another one to be saved.
