Additional info: Bear is an owner surrender to the shelter for being fearful of men. Initially we were warned that Bear was not good with other dogs and should not be left alone with them as he might go after them but this issue may be settling down as his new foster mom successfully socialized Bear with other dogs. He has also randomly snapped and growled at his foster mom and he does mark a little in the home. He has only done this at random times, at other times he has been fine so we are working with him to try to figure out what the issue is. He is crate trained but may cry at first when crated because of separation anxiety. Needless to say, we do not recommend Bear for a home with little kids. Bear can be a little head shy (doesn't love face touched at times). Overall, Bear is a very sweet dog who loves to give kisses. He does do a little resource guarding and doesn't know too many obedience commands. All of these issues will respond to training and we can provide you with support and advice as to how to handle them. Bear needs a patient person who can help him grow in confidence. He is looking for his forever home right now.
