Dudley's Story...
Up for adoption: Dudley.

Dudley is just adorable! He can be adopted in Texas.

Dudley, (named after the dog in the Jacquie Lawson graphics) is about 46 lbs and 10-11 months old. He's got some cute puppy energy but has not been destructive in his foster home.

He seems to be good with other dogs and has already learned how to sit for treats. Dudley is crate trained, rides quietly in the car, and is learning to sit for treats and walk politely on a leash. He's a smart boy who's food-motivated, so he's getting it quickly. Dudley is dog-friendly and doesn't react to cats on our neighborhood walks (but would need to be cat-tested before living in a home with cats). This happy, handsome boy will be a wonderful companion for a lucky person or family.

This sweet pup will be neutered, fully vaccinated and micro-chipped, crate trained too! Apply at www.luckylabrescue.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dudley, a Austin Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Austin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
