Lola's Story...
Lola's owner is moving and cannot take her with them. She is a beautiful little black and tan mini doxie who loves attention. She is spayed, current on vaccines, heartworm tested and heartworm preventative, crate trained and house-broken. Has been with other dogs and cats, but tries to treat small kittens like toys. She sleeps with foster mom, but also will sleep in her crate. Because of her size and long body that can easily be hurt by small children, no families with children under five will be considered. If you are interested in meeting Lola call 314-570-7988 or email She will also be at our next adoption event on Sat. June 12 at the Petco in Olivette located at 9632 Olive Blvd. St. Louis, MO if not placed before then. Lola's adoption fee is $200 which includes her vet care to date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lola, a Fenton Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Fenton, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Fenton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fenton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fenton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fenton paves the way for another one to be saved.
