Kendu's Story...
Hi, my name is Kendu,

the Ark got me from their Veterinarian office, where someone left me behind.
It took me a bit to get warm with the peeps at the Ark, but now I am a great, sweet and playful little dog.
You may want to look up Norwegian Lundehund, I look a lot like them. I am a good size as well, please if you are looking for a new friend, come and visit me at the Ark and ask for Kendu, that's me!

Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a secure fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kendu, a Huntsville Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
