Kitty's Story...
Silky Terrier + Carin Terrier Mix
3 years old
10 pounds
Nickname: Itsy
Favorite Activities: Soaking up all of the love from my people. Hanging out on your lap for some good snuggle time. Going on leisurely strolls and playing with my chew toys. I really don’t mind going into my crate at the end of the day. I tend to like to wander :) so someone with a secure back yard would be a good match.
Pet Peeves: Someone not willing to give me time to come out of my shell, I can be a little shy at first so quick movements can scare me.
Come in and meet me so we can get to know each other better!
My adoption fee is $180 and includes microchip & registration, spay, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kitty, a Portland Silky Terrier/Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Silky Terrier/Cairn Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Silky Terrier/Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Silky Terrier/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Silky Terrier/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
