Facts about Mavis

  • Breed: Russian Blue
  • Color: Gray Or Blue
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
There’s something about this lovely Russian Blue with the piercing green eyes that just tugs at your heart…

Mavis is a bit shy as she is still processing the fact that she no longer has her family. However within seconds of interacting with her, you’ll see what a sweet and loving gal she is! It all begins once you start petting her…Mavis immediately leans her head into your hand and rolls on her side as she revels in the attention she loves so much. As you continue to pet her, Mavis wiggles with happiness and her purr motor kicks into high gear confirming how much she is enjoying your time together! Uh…her salivary glands also kick into high gear…apparently Mavis enters such a state of bliss that she begins drooling! Mavis’ state of bliss is contagious - you too find your worries fading away and your heart melting as you observe exactly how much she adores interacting with you. In no time, Miss Mavis has you wrapped around her little paw!

Mavis is so happy when you enter the room. If you sit on the floor, she’ll come right over to accept petting, head rubs, and brushing. Mavis has so much love to give; she is more than happy to share it with her people!

This gentle girl is hoping her next family will be her forever family…and she is hoping it won’t be long before she gets to meet her forever family!

About RESCUE

About Our Rescue Group...

RESCUE is a registered non-profit volunteer based animal rescue organization located in Maricopa County. RESCUE has no central facility and is volunteer run. Our focus is on the "kill lists." We were founded in 1995, and with the support of our volunteers and our community, we have found homes for over 11,000 dogs and cats. Our motto is for every animal adopted, we are back to rescue another. We depend on the community for our support and offer a variety of satisfying ways for you to get involved in our mission to end the killing of the orphaned dogs and cats. Please consider adopting, volunteering or donating.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a shelter. We are at various special events around the valley. Please see our Upcoming Events section on our website for further information. We look forward to meeting you and introducing you to some of our wonderful animals.

Our Adoption Process...

Fill out an online application, have an interview with a Matchmaker, if we are in philosophical alignment, set up a meet and greet and if all goes well finalize the adoption. Our service fee for dogs is $150 and $125 for cats. All our dogs and cats are spayed and neutered prior to adoption.
