My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Sammy.

We don't know his real name. It's a name we gave him. Sammy and another dog were dumped. Why? Because the other dog - a young boxer - that was with him killed the family cat. So they were loaded up in the car....driven over to PA.....and left on the side of the road. After some consideration, the gentleman who did this decided he wanted the boxer back. But Sammy? No. No he didn't want him. So he was thrown away like trash.

Sammy was taken in by someone who could not keep him indoors. So outside - tied to a tree - is where he has been for days. Out in this oppressive heat.

Sammy was pulled into RDR and has been stealing hearts since the second he arrived. He is one of "those" dogs that just grip ur heart the moment u are in their presence. He emits such love and peace. He holds no grudges against us humans. He is the sweetest soul u will ever encounter. He is a calm, gentle boy who seeks nothing but ur attention and ur affection. He is being fostered with young children and other dogs and he is adored by both. He is truly one of the most special dogs we have ever had.

He is thought to be around 8 yrs old and outside of "dry eye" in his one eye that needs eye drops - he is in great health.

Adoption fee $150 - includes health exam, deworming, up to date vaccines, microchipping, neuter, bloodwork, and 30 days of free pet health insurance.
