Champ's Story...
Champ, 10 month old Shephard Mix

This boy had an awful start to his life but he turned it around! When he and his 3 siblings were turned into a rural shelter they were so scared they wouldn't let humans touch them. A sweet little girl and her mom have been teaching them that humans are good. Champ has accepted that and is ready for his forever home! He is neutered, shots are current, he is hw negative and on preventative. He loves to play with other dogs, has been exposed to cats and is good with kids. The boy will make someone a great family member!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Champ, a Hayes Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Hayes, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Hayes.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hayes already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hayes breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hayes paves the way for another one to be saved.
