Lucy's Story...
Daisy was rescued, near-term at a local county shelter by the Farley Foundation. She recently gave birth to four beautiful female pups. Daisy and her pups are well-cared-for and reside in a loving and capable foster home. These pups are absolutely precious and their mother has the most wonderful disposition. Adoption applications will now be accepted for Daisy and her puppies, Lucy and Ronnie. If you would like to adopt Daisy or one of her pups please submit an Adoption Application and a Meet and Greet will be arranged. Daisy is a Dachshund mix. Fully grown, we expect these pups to be small or medium-sized. All Daisy’s puppies are female.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Pinehurst Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Pinehurst, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Pinehurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pinehurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pinehurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pinehurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
