My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BARRY is a 1 year old neutered chocolate male Lab who weighs 53 pounds. Barry is a very friendly and happy boy! He is great with other dogs and greets unfamiliar dogs with a wagging tail. He pulls a bit on the leash so an EZ Walk Harness and practice will benefit him. He stiffened up when he saw a cat so it's NO TO CATS for Barry. From the transporter: Such a sweet, STRONG boy. He pulled on the leash a little, but didn’t want to run off. He is very curious about everything and likes to take his time sniffing whatever catches his fancy. Barry was a little reluctant to jump into my truck, so I picked him up and placed him inside without any resistance. He rode quietly in the car the whole way. He briefly met my dog and was fine with her. He is approved for kids 10+. More info soon!

Update: Barry had a blast with his transporter this morning. She reports: We walked around the property for about 20 minutes to get used to each other and give him an opportunity to relieve himself. He takes treats gently and he seems to know the sit command. He rode well in the crate in my SUV, and either sat or laid down for the 40 minute drive. He was calm and didn't stir, just enjoyed looking out the trunk window. He pulls on the leash for the first few minutes of the walk and then whenever he gets excited (seeing a squirrel, encountering a fellow dog, etc), so he'll do best on an Easy Walk harness.
