My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

-Maddie is a 4 1/2 year old Maltese/Poodle mix. She has a soft coat of non shedding hair that is white with grayish black highlights on her ears and tail. She weighs 10.8 lbs which is a good adult weight for her. Maddie gets along with other dogs, but she still needs further socialization with people of all ages. Maddie will need an experienced dog person with patience and a desire to help her learn to overcome her shyness and enjoy life as a companion pet.
Despite her difficult past as a puppy mill dog, Maddie has spent the last five months showing her foster family that she is brave, sweet, hopeful and resilient. Having spent so much time in captivity, Maddie would like a home with a yard and ideally a gentle companion dog. Maddie loves to sprint at top speed around the yard, follow her best friend Sam (also a Maltipoo) on short walks or sit in the geraniums and watch the other dogs play. Maddie loves meal time, home cooked chicken and enjoys car rides to the doggy salon where she is treated like a princess. Maddie sleeps comfortably through the night in a large comfy crate and is housetrained. Maddie knows her name and if you have earned her trust, she will come when you call.
