My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CLEO aka CORA is a 1.5 year old intact black female Lab who weighs 43 pounds. Cleo started off by being caller Cora at the shelter which she didn’t answer to, when trying out names Roxanne found out she answers to Cleo so that is her name now. She is an excellent mother and took good care of her pups. She is very friendly, likes people and other dogs. She loves to cuddle and if your lap is available it will be filled if she is invited to join you. Cleo is energetic and likes to play with other dogs, she has not showed an interest in retrieving so gets her exercise by going for a 2-3 mile walk/run with the neighborhood dogs 3-4 days a week. The walk is along some paths, the dogs are off lead, they get to chase the deer that wander within view. She needs a family that is active an active that will give her the love and exercise she needs. Kids 7 and up. She has been around a lot of younger kids during the last few weeks as family visited Roxanne's and the puppies, she was gentle with the smaller ones and played with the older ones. Good with other dogs, lived with Cheyenne while at fosters and met numerous others while on walks. She has a high prey drive and loves to chase any stray squirrel or rabbit that comes in the yard. Unknown with cats but would say no cats based on her prey drive. Knows basic commands. Good on and off lead. Crate and house trained. She is approved for kids 7+. More info soon!

Update: Cleo continues to be a sweetheart! She loves people! Cleo enjoys getting belly and ear rubs. She is good with other dogs. Cleo takes treats gently. When walking she tends to pull especially when she sees a squirrel, cat, or deer. Walking her with an easy walk harness helps some with the pulling.
