Tyrone is a young, middle aged Extremely Smart and funny Yellow Nape Amazon. He is just a young 39 years old, and Amazons are known to live past 80 years with the correct diet and environment. So with this mentioned. We are going to be very picky on who will adopt Tyrone. A home visit is mandatory to adopt Tyrone.
Tyrone is semi Bilingual, Spanish & English. He has a vocabulary which spans over 50 words and songs in English. He is hand tame, and leans towards women as his handler, but will tolerate a man once Tyrone learns to trust him.
Tyrone is seeking a calm low traffic home, preferably with no children. Tyrone loves being trusted out of his cage all day, and would love to find a home where he can sit down at the table to share meals with his new owner.
Tyrone is an extremely special boy, who talks, sings and laughs. We’re seeking an experienced parrot handler for Tyrone, one who can appreciate Tyrone’s special exquisite personality.

Special Notes about Tyrone from his past owner:
Talking:
Tyrone has a repertoire of words that he learned early on that he repeats. His favorite word is “Michael”. He also says “Hello Tyrone” in a sort of Hispanic accent, “How are you”, “Pretty Bright”, “Moooommmmyyy” and “Bye-Bye”. Or at least those are the ones that are easily understandable. There is plenty of parrot gibberish too, and I think he might speak Spanish.
He has a song that he likes to sing along with:
I think you’re pretty, I think you’re pretty,
I think you’re very very very very pretty
I think you’re nice, I think you’re bright
I think you’re very very pretty tonight!

Tyrone's Behavior:
Tyrone was the “only child” in our household from 1978 through 1984. When the girls were born he became jealous of them and that has never changed, even after all these years. He tends to latch on to one person, and seems to get angry if they even walk out of the room. With consistent attention and work he has shown that he can be handled and friendly to other people.
He likes to be covered when the sun goes down, and I do cover him with a dark cloth. He does not like the sun shining directly on him.
He does not throw his seeds out of his cage. He plays with his toys every day.
