My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

furby is the prettiest little boy, he is approx 3 yrs and 26 lbs, he looks like a cairn terrier mix, he is just a darling dog, when we first rescued him we noticed that he walked rather stiffly on his back legs and they were bowed, like he had been riding a horse a long time! the vet did x rays and could se nothing wrong but felt he may have a disc problem, so we had the neurologist check him out, she recommended cage rest for 4 weeks to see if that helped..after 4 weeks he was still the same so we decided to do an MRI to see what his issues were, he has evidence of two chronic disk herniations, the neurologist felt that no surgery was needed at this time as he does not seem to be in pain and the surgery would probably not be worthwhile, however, there is always a chance in the future that he may need surgery or have more disk issues . the good news is that he is a very low energy dog and trots around the yard fine with the other dogs but does not run and play to much, he is a really sweet dog, has a winning personality and is going to be a great companion for someone, would prefer a home with no small children that could trip over him etc and all adult home will be the best fit, we do have the full report from the neurologist for any one to review

The total adoption cost of $475 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration . The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA.
