Half Pint's Story...
"Hey!! My name is Half-Pint.

My foster mom and dad say I am typical min pin, even though I am a mix. I am about 2 years old and love to play play play.

I love to run around and explore. I have to check out every part of the yard and therefore, I will require a fenced yard. If you don't have a fenced yard, then we will need to go on lots of walks and have even more play time. I will need to be on a leash if it is not a fenced area to play in.

And speaking of playing – did I tell you I love to play? I would really like to have a playmate. They don't have to be a Min Pin, any sized dog will do. If you don't have a playmate for me, that's okay I'll play with you!!!! I do love to cuddle as well, so please make sure you have a lap ready.

My foster family says I need to learn manners and have been trying to teach them to me. They say I need an alpha owner as I like to try to be the boss. I'm not mean, just showing them I care. You see, I was never taught how to be a family pet. I used to jump up and try to grab your hand with my mouth. I would even try to herd them by nipping at their pant legs. But like I said, they are teaching me not to do these things.

A few words from my foster mom: Half-Pint is fully vetted, neutered, heartworm negative and microchipped. He's on Frontline and Heartguard. He is such a great dog who just needs someone to love him. Half-Pint will require obedience training as we feel it is the best for him.

Half-Pint is currently located in Hampton, VA. For more information on him contact his foster mom at Jennifer@rescueminpins.com .

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Half Pint, a Greensboro Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Greensboro, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Greensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
