Tani (brindle) and RooRoo (white)

Tani And RooRoo are two stunning littermates who are very bonded. They are approx 30 lbs and 3 years old. Though they are advertised as a bonded pair, they can be adopted together, or separately. Tani is quite an easy dog, but Roo will prove more difficult.

We had a donor who loved papillons, who wanted to help fund the rescue of their mother who was in a Korean shelter. Of course, we couldn't help mom and leave the babies, so Tani and Roo came too. Their mother does look like a PB papillon and is about 10 lbs. She is adopted. Father is unknown.

These two boys are nervous around new people, especially men. This is common with overseas dogs from Taiwan/Korea. They will do best with a small adoptive couple/family, and will bond strongly with them. They need a secure yard, 6 ft fence, and it needs to be "dog proofed" so they can't dig under if you are planning on leaving them with free access to the yard. They need an experienced home (or a very diligent and patient home), and are not really suitable for first time owners or busy households. They are extremely playful and affectionate once you earn their trust, though men in the household need to be prepared to wait a long time for that to happen.

They are very alert to strangers and would not suite an apartment etc because they can be barky.

Tani is quite a good boy and would be fairy easy to adapt to an adoptive home. He is housetrained, and good on walks, though he will try to chase birds and small wild animals. Neither of them would likely ever be reliable as "off leash dogs". At best, Tani may be able to run with a dropped long leash.

RooRoo does have a higher prey drive, though he is NOT aggressive, we think they would be best in a home with no other animals. Because of the nature of these two boys, we think young children will make them too nervous, however older teenagers should be fine. Roo also is NOT reliably house trained at all and would need a very understanding home willing to work diligently on his as he really doesn't grasp the concept well.

Tani and Roo's adoption fee is by donation, but there will be a very thorough screen process. You can see more pictures of them here:
