Facts about Emma-Watch my awesome video!

  • Breed: Domestic Mediumhair
  • Color: Black & White Or Tuxedo
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Medium
Emma is a medium haired five year old black and white tuxedo cat who just happens to be very close to blind. She can see shadows, so she would do best if she is approached slowly, with a calm voice. That would orient you to her. Emma is quite self sufficient; she has the ability to walk around and act like any sighted kitty would. She is very aware if someone in the room is about to open up a bag of treats. She springs to life and makes her way to the sound of the bag opening. It keeps the volunteers in stitches! Though she can be a bit shy and nervous at times, she loves to be pet . Emma would like to be the queen of your castle, so no other cats, dogs or young children in the home please. She is such a sweet girl who is so deserving of a home of her own, Could it be yours? Emma would love to meet you! She is currently taking a break from shelter life, and is staying at the home of one of our awesome volunteers. If you would like to meet her, please call the shelter at 603-628-3844, and they will make a meetup with you and pretty Emma happen!

About Friends of Manchester Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

We believe all animals are deserving of life, respect and care. Our goal is zero-population-growth through spay/neuter programs and services that focus on education, medical care, fostering and adoption. Friends of Manchester Animal Shelter is a non-profit organization which started in 1996. The shelter takes in homeless, abused, and abandoned animals in the city of Manchester. We provide shelter, medical care, and spay/neuter to every animal that comes through our doors. In operation for nearly two decades, the shelter has helped provide care and find loving homes for over 20,000 animals.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Both dogs and cats and other pets we may have available for adoption can be met at the Friends of Manchester Animal Shelter at 490 Dunbarton Rd in Manchester.

We also rescue southern dogs several times a month. These dogs go into foster homes as they wait to be adopted. Applications can be filled out at the shelter at 490 Dunbarton Rd. Once approved a meeting will be set up.

We also have cats at PetSmart at 777 South Willow Street in Manchester NH. PetSmart Adoption hours are Monday - Friday 6-8 PM (except Wed) and weekends 1-3 PM. In addition we have cats at Petco in Manchester. You can meet them anytime during store hours, just ask for a manager.
