Sylvester's Story...
Contact Adam for more info on Sylvester! rpccchef@yahoo.com

Sylvester showed up in our small town neighborhood about a month ago. He looked mostly healty, clean and socialized. However, we were unable to locate an owner. He would run for a mile or so after our cars when we would leave for work, but always be on the porch when we returned... He is a very well behaved guy that lounges around until YOU are ready to play, then he goes all out.

Sylvester is approx 18 months old Beagle Dachshund mix. He is 25lbs, very light red (with a blonde tint) with a slightly deeper stripe down his back.

He gets along GREAT with my 2yo 85lbs Lab/"Pit" mix, as well as my 14 week "Pit" (she is 17.5lbs). He also gets along great with the neighborhood kids. Walks well on a leash, house broken, and begining some basic voice commands.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sylvester, a Newington Dachshund/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Beagle for sale in Newington, or seeking a Dachshund/Beagle dog from a breeder in Newington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Beagle breeders who help with Dachshund/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newington paves the way for another one to be saved.
