Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jake is a 7 year old, 60 pound redbone mix. He is really an all-around good boy. He loves to be with people and loves to be scratched and pet by his favorite humans on his favorite couch. The sense you get about Jake when you first meet him is that he just wants to make his people happy, and immediately you see in his nature that he doesn't have a bad bone in his body. He's a happy, wiggly, silly boy at heart.
Jake loves people so much he tries to meet as many as he can on his walks. He also loves other dogs and is always determined to meet a new dog friend! He's good with small and large dogs, and he's even met a few young puppies, he likes everyone! Incidentally he also completely ignores my small parakeet, and I feel comfortable having her out of her cage around him. My favorite thing about Jake is the sweet expression on his face when he wants attention - he has the biggest, most soulful and expressive eyes. They make it hard to ever say no to him! He seems to nap all day and is totally house trained!
Jake knows the commands: sit, down, and shake. He is an awesome traveler and does great in the car. He loves to walk and to run. He will bounce and prance through the house when it's walk time. He constantly looks at me while we are walking as if to say ‘isn't this FUN!?’ Jake very much enjoys the outdoors and would like to go to a family that is active outside. Most of the time Jake is a couch potato. He can fall asleep in no time and loves to do so with his humans around watching a movie. He's a very good cuddler. He invites himself up into the couch and loves to sleep with head on your lap-so sweet! He loves to be rubbed and scratched, and will rub up against your legs if he's craving a good scratch.
