Lincoln's Story...
Meet Lincoln! This active and playful boy is looking for his forever home! He loves playing tug-of-war and chewing his chew toys, but is also content to sit beside you and get some good scratching! He's about 6-8 months old and ready for fun! He plays really well with other dogs, even the ones who are much bigger than him! He's not afraid to jump in the mix! Lincoln is a mix of lab and border collie. He's smart and eager to please! He's still pretty young, so we are still working on housetraining, but he'll start sniffing around when he's ready to go outside. He knows the command for kennel and we are working on sit. He's crate trained, so if you need to leave him for awhile, just give him something to chew on. If you are looking for an active pup to add to your household, Lincoln is your main man! He is currently being fostered in north Alabama, but is available for transport to our northern adopters. If you are interested in this awesome boy, please apply online at http://forrescue.net/dog-application/ or e-mail at info@forrescue.net. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lincoln, a Knoxville Labrador Retriever/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
