Jett is a male Cockapoo mix approximately 3 years old. He has been professionally groomed and currently has a shorter summer haircut. His coat is soft, wavy, and non-shedding. His fur will grow out long and fluffy in a short amount of time if allowed. Jett has deep chocolate brown eyes and an adorable big black puppy dog nose. His fur is mostly black with just a little bit of light gray frosting. He is a bigger boy, very solid, weighing in at 24 pounds full grown. Jett loves walks and has an enthusiastic amount of energy for longer walks or even hikes. He loves to be out and about seeing things in his world and once he gets to know you he is quite faithful. He enjoys his routine and likes to establish a "safe" place inside the house that he always eagerly runs to after being outside or eating. He will hop right into his dog bed and then look at you as if to say, ok, that was fun, now what? Jett is good with other dogs and kind of seems to favor the ladies. He will pal around with a friend or two and sometimes play if the mood strikes. Jett absolutely loves treats and definitely one way to his heart is a tasty morsel. He can act quite puppyish and cute when playing with toys or racing off to his dog bed with a chewie. Jett was rescued from a high-volume/high-kill shelter where he was brought in stray. He had a very rough time at the shelter and the experience terrified him. He came to us quite shy and scared, however, he is blossoming quickly in a safe environment and we are delighted to see the clownish, affectionate dog that he is becoming. Jett will thrive in a home where he can have consistency and gentle guidance. He is a sensitive, soft boy and will look to his owner for direction and security. Younger children may be a little too much for Jett right now since he is not so sure about lots of commotion or rough handling. Jett has been vet checked and is very healthy. He is a loving, robust dog and ready for his new forever home today!
Jett’s adoption donation is $425 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
