  • Age: Young
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Bobby, oh Bobby, what a handsome boy are you ! This sweet boy came to Lucky Lab Rescue as an owner surrender along with a couple of other family dogs. His owner lost his job, had no money and eventually lost his home. It was Bobby's lucky day when Lucky Lab was contacted. Bobby came to us very thin, very shy and timid, but he is making great strides in his foster home. He has gained weight, is being socialized with people and other dogs and thriving. Bobby is about a year old and weighs a good 45 to 50 lbs. now. He is no longer as shy and timid and loves his playtime with his people and loves being hugged and cuddled. Bobby loves everyone he meets. He does great with all his canine buddies and loves to play and run and get the toys. He likes to fetch. Bobby is not to good with the kitties though. We would consider Bobby medium energy and after playtime likes to settle down with a good chew and just chill. He loves being close to people. This boy would like nothing more than a family to love and to have someone take him for long walks, playing in the yard, hiking and just plain being a part of a family. Bobby is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and he is micro-chipped. If you would like to find out more about this boy, please go to our website,, complete the online application and indicate 'Bobby' in the notes section. He is available in the Midwest and in New England. Bobby would be a great fit for just about any family situation.

About Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption - IN

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption is an all-volunteer, non-profit (currently filing for 501(c)(3) status) rescue organization whose mission is to reduce the euthanasia rates and inhumane treatment of Labrador Retrievers in the Midwest and find loving forever homes for them.

Most labs that come into Lucky Lab Rescue are from shelters here in the Midwest. Most are at risk of euthanasia, usually due to overcrowded shelters. Labs are one of the most popular breeds of dogs due to their loyal and family oriented personalities. Labs are also one of the most overbred breeds and are the number one breed to be found in shelters. They also have one of the highest euthanasia rates. Some find it difficult that rescues can be breed specific, however, Lucky Lab Rescue and other lab rescues make a huge impact on euthanasia rates just by rescuing labs and lab mixes alone.

Our Adoption Process...

Potiential adopters must fill out an application and a Lucky Lab representative will follow up with both a phone and home interview. Our adoption includes all vaccination, microchip, spay or neuter and a heartworm test. Provide additional medical treatments if needed.
