Avery's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Avery's Story...
Avery is an adult 5 year old schnauzer/Bassett mix who weighs around 20lbs. This girl is extremely laid back. She loves people but can be a little shy at first. She's great with dogs and kids. She will chase cats. She walks great on a leash and is crate trained. She has the cute basset build with a long body and short little legs, but has the coat of a schnauzer! Her and her puppy Meyer were saved from the dreaded list at our county shelter! They were adopted together but due to living arrangements they are having to be surrendered back into our care! We would love to see them go to a home together but they do perfectly fine apart as well! She's utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels), and Spayed.

All dogs have a $150 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Avery, a Grand Bay Schnauzer (Miniature)/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Basset Hound for sale in Grand Bay, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Grand Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature)/Basset Hound breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature)/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
