My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alice is a beautiful 5 year old smooth black and tan dachshund. She's fun, bright, spunky, loving and a little bit ornery. Alice came to us in horrible condition with a very painful golf ball sized bladder stone, UTIs and skin allergies. It's been a long journey, but Alice is now happy, healthy and ready to find her forever home. Alice loves people of all ages and thrives off attention. She loves cuddles on the couch, belly rubs, snuggling under the blankets and giving kisses. Alice also enjoys spending time outside chasing squirrels and soaking up the sun. She will need a securely fenced yard so she can enjoy her time outside safely. Alice would do great as an only "fur-child" being the center of everyone's attention. She also would be fine with another dachshund that understands that she's in charge. She can get bossy at times and is possessive of toys, but she does enjoy the company of other dachshunds that are fine with her "take charge" attitude. Alice will need to stay on her current food, Honest Kitchen Dehydrated, in order to prevent the formation of future bladder stones and UTIs and to maintain good urinary health. She also takes a few supplements to help her body stay healthy. Alice is an amazing little Diva, full of life and love. She can brighten up a room when she prances in. Who doesn't need a little more light in their lives?

The suggested adoption donation for Alice Ann is a minimum of $300 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts only to people living in states neighboring Nebraska and requires the adopter to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not transport or fly our rescue dogs. A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers.Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information
