Facts about Alice Ann

  • Breed: Dachshund
  • Color: Black - With Tan, Yellow Or Fawn
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
Alice is a beautiful 5 yr old smooth black and tan dachshund with eyes that can melt anyone's heart. Tossed aside because she was sick, she made her way to rescue and immediately to our vets at Rockbrook Animal Clinic. The next day she underwent surgery to remove a golf-ball sized bladder stone!
Now that Alice is beginning to feel better, her true personality is coming out, and boy does she have personality! She's happier, spunkier, more playful and definitely bossier! She absolutely loves to be the center of attention. Alice is a dominant dog that will do best either by herself or with a submissive dog her size. She has shown some guarding behavior especially with toys. A dachshund savvy owner would be a plus for Alice.
Alice is potty trained and crate trained. She loves cuddles and spending time outside just sitting and watching the neighborhood activity. She enjoys chasing squirrels and barking at anything that moves.
Due to Alice's bladder issues and skin allergy, she may need to be on a special diet for life. The vets are waiting on the lab results to develop a plan for her future good health. The suggested adoption donation for Alice Ann is a minimum of $300 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts only to people living in states neighboring Nebraska and requires the adopter to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not transport or fly our rescue dogs. A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers.Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information

About Wag N Train Terrier Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Wag N Train Terrier Rescue was formed in April 2010 to provide tender loving care for terriers in need. We are a small, all-volunteer organization made up of uniquely talented individuals who all love dogs. Several of us are certified pet dog trainers and we hold weekly training sessions for the dogs in our foster care. In addition, we also teach dog training classes to the general public and offer a weekly small dog play group for supervised socialization opportunities.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at Long Dog Fat Cat (across from Village Pointe Shopping Center and at Loveland Center) and at The Green Spot.Meetings by appointment can be arranged upon approval to adopt. Please see our events calendar on our website: http://www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/calendar.htm

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process starts with a completed adoption application requiring three personal references, a vet reference and a mandatory home visit. Once approved to adopt, an adoption contract and adoption donation are required, as well as travel to the Omaha area to pick up your newly adopted dog. We require securely fenced yards for our terrier breeds and we do not consider invisible fencing safe or appropriate for terriers. Adoption applications can be found at wagntrainterrierrescue.com
