Facts about Alice Ann

  • Breed: Dachshund
  • Color: Black - With Tan, Yellow Or Fawn
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
Alice is a beautiful 5 year old smooth black and tan dachshund. She's fun, bright, spunky, loving and a little bit ornery. Alice came to us in horrible condition with a very painful golf ball sized bladder stone, UTIs and skin allergies. It's been a long journey, but Alice is now happy, healthy and ready to find her forever home. Alice loves people of all ages and thrives off attention. She loves cuddles on the couch, belly rubs, snuggling under the blankets and giving kisses. Alice also enjoys spending time outside chasing squirrels and soaking up the sun. She will need a securely fenced yard so she can enjoy her time outside safely. Alice would do great as an only "fur-child" being the center of everyone's attention. She also would be fine with another dachshund that understands that she's in charge. She can get bossy at times and is possessive of toys, but she does enjoy the company of other dachshunds that are fine with her "take charge" attitude. Alice will need to stay on her current food, Honest Kitchen Dehydrated, in order to prevent the formation of future bladder stones and UTIs and to maintain good urinary health. She also takes a few supplements to help her body stay healthy. Alice is an amazing little Diva, full of life and love. She can brighten up a room when she prances in. Who doesn't need a little more light in their lives?

The suggested adoption donation for Alice Ann is a minimum of $300 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts only to people living in states neighboring Nebraska and requires the adopter to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not transport or fly our rescue dogs. A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers.Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information

About Wag N Train Terrier Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Wag N Train Terrier Rescue was formed in April 2010 to provide tender loving care for terriers in need. We are a small, all-volunteer organization made up of uniquely talented individuals who all love dogs. Several of us are certified pet dog trainers and we hold weekly training sessions for the dogs in our foster care. In addition, we also teach dog training classes to the general public and offer a weekly small dog play group for supervised socialization opportunities.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at Long Dog Fat Cat (across from Village Pointe Shopping Center and at Loveland Center) and at The Green Spot.Meetings by appointment can be arranged upon approval to adopt. Please see our events calendar on our website: http://www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/calendar.htm

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process starts with a completed adoption application requiring three personal references, a vet reference and a mandatory home visit. Once approved to adopt, an adoption contract and adoption donation are required, as well as travel to the Omaha area to pick up your newly adopted dog. We require securely fenced yards for our terrier breeds and we do not consider invisible fencing safe or appropriate for terriers. Adoption applications can be found at wagntrainterrierrescue.com
