Aussie's Story...
Aussie is a unique looking young boy, about a year old and weighing almost 20 pounds. We are guessing he is a Cocker Spaniel-Beagle mix. Whatever the background, he is just adorable. He is a low energy doggie and very calm. Although he gets along well with other dogs, he is not very playful. Aussie much prefers snuggling up in his human’s lap and getting cuddled. He is not good with cats, however. Aussie is a well behaved little guy and is good on leash for those leisurely walks. Rescued by our sister organization in Mexico, Aussie has made his way to foster care in Edmonton. He has been neutered, dewormed and is up to date on all his vaccinations. If you think this mellow little fellow is perfect for your family, contact us at adopt.pvca@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aussie, a Edmonton Cocker Spaniel/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Beagle for sale in Edmonton, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Beagle dog from a breeder in Edmonton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmonton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmonton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Beagle breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmonton paves the way for another one to be saved.
