Wanted: Mom and two kids (boy and girl) seeking a loving home where they can shower you with antics, attention and love in exchange for giving them the opportunity to stay together for the rest of their lives.

Says Esti's foster mom:

'We would love to see Esti adopted with her remaining two available kittens, Jewel and Johnny Winter. Esti has been a devoted and attentive mother to her four kittens (Johnny & Edgar Winter, Jewel and Pearl, Edgar & Pearl were recently adopted). Esti is especially bonded to her kids because this is her first litter that has lived. Esti was born without mammary glands or nipples. The property where she was living had seen that she was pregnant twice before but had never seen her with kittens. Since she would not have had any way to nurse them, they would not have survived.

Of course this had to be traumatic and hard for Esti trying to care for her kittens only to watch them slowly pass. Because of this, she is especially vigilant and careful to keep an eye on her kittens at all times. When the kittens recently went in for their spay/neuter appointments, she searched the house top to bottom constantly calling out to them trying to find them. She did not rest until they came home 8 hours later. And even then, because of the surgery I kept them in their carriers for a while and she vigilantly sat next to their carriers watching over them. Also, just like human mothers, when I refill their food dishes, she will stand back and make sure her kittens have finished eating before she starts to eat.

I cannot think of a greater gift for Esti than to be adopted into a home that would like to add a loving cat family. The joy of keeping her with her two remaining kids would be a joy that will keep giving throughout their lifetime with you and your family.'

All cats/kittens are up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, spayed/neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, and microchipped prior to going to their new homes.

You can visit this cat at the Angel's Wish Adoption Center at 161 Horizon Drive in Verona most weekends (Saturdays from 10am to 4pm and Sundays 1pm to 4pm).

About Angel's Wish

About Our Rescue Group...

Angel’s Wish is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2000.

Mission Statement
Angel’s Wish is dedicated to reducing animal overpopulation, rehoming companion animals, and raising awareness of animal welfare issues in South Central Wisconsin.

Why are we called Angel's Wish?
Lois Lawrence, a founding member of Angel's Wish, once rescued a kitten from a construction site. Weak with starvation, dehydration, and a severe upper respiratory infection, neither veterinary treatment nor Lois’ love and care could save the kitten from the effects of that hot June day. Angel died that night in Lois' arms. We believe that Angel's Wish would have been that no other animal be subjected to pain, suffering, abandonment or neglect.

About the Animals of Angel’s Wish
We divert animals from ever arriving at area shelters, and as space allows, assist rescue groups and shelters. We accept only animals we have space to care for, and euthanize only for severe medical or temperament reasons. Animals stay in their current home or are cared for in volunteer foster homes until adoptive homes are found.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Adopt a new furry friend
Our volunteer foster homes get to know their fostered animals well and understand their personalities—allowing us to make great matches between people and pets! Let us know about your family situation, current pets, and the type of pet you are looking for and we can guide you to animals that would be a great match.

Our primary adoption site is the Angel’s Wish Pet Adoption and Resource Center at 161 Horizon Drive, Suite 106 in Verona-just a few minutes from Madison. Visit adoptable animals, and get acquainted in private visiting rooms. Open hours are Saturdays 10am to 4pm and Sundays 1pm to 4pm.

We also hold weekly adoptions on Sundays from 1pm to 4pm at Petsmart East in Madison at 2216 East Springs Drive.

Stop by a regularly scheduled or special “mobile” adoption event at locations throughout Dane, Jefferson, and Rock counties. Please see our website to see where the pets will be next!

Our Adoption Process...

Before any Angel’s Wish animal is placed in a new home, he or she is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and treated for parasites and any known medical concerns. Cats are tested for FeLV/FIV; dogs are tested for heartworm and are microchipped. Upon adoption, all animals are eligible for one month of complimentary ShelterCare Pet Insurance. Cats adopted at the Angel's Wish Pet Adoption and Resource Center also go home with a goodie bag, a coupon for a free nail trim, and a $5 off coupon for microchipping. 100% of adoption fees are applied to animal medical care.

An application, adoption fee, and contract is required.
