Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Little Leah is such a sweetie! She was rescued as a single kitten, and placed into a home with a new buddy, who she immediately bonded with! No hissing, or puffing up…just a couple of quick sniffs, and it was instant playtime and snuggle time. She was also fine with the resident adult cats. Leah is a bit on the quieter side, but she knows how to run around and wrestle with her buddy too. She is a typical kitten, ready to explore and to see what “toys” are in the world for her. She was in a home with respectful children 8-14 years old, so she is great around kids. She was also introduced to dogs, which she peacefully co-existed with…there really wasn’t any interaction.
Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Kittens really need a playmate in their forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home. Being your typical playful kitten, Leah needs to have another kitten (perhaps her recent foster buddy, Lumberjack), or a friendly young cat at home to play and snuggle with. Leah is not shy at all and will transition easily into your home :).
If you are only interested in adopting a single kitten, and you’re home most of the day, and able to spend interactive time with a kitten, we will consider adopting out a kitten older than 4 months. Each foster home knows the kitten’s personalities best, and we follow their recommendations for single placements.
You can meet Leah at Wilmette Pet, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750 www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to adopt her on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.
Leah’s estimated date of birth is 5/10/16. Her adoption fee of $135 includes her vet exam, FVRCP vaccination, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and spay.
