Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lumberjack (aka Jack) is from what was dubbed the woodpile kittens. He and his siblings were found with their mom in a pile of wood when they were approximately 3 weeks old. Jack was the most cautious of the litter, and the most talkative! If he wants attention, he meows, or if he is looking for a furry buddy to play with, he will meow. Being a typical playful kitten, Jack definitely needs to have another kitten, or young playful cat, at home to play and snuggle with, and so he doesn’t meow all the time :). Lumberjack is not shy at all and will transition easily into your home :). He was most recently fostered with Leah.
Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Kittens really need a playmate in their forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home.
If you are only interested in adopting a single kitten, and you’re home most of the day, and able to spend interactive time with a kitten, we will consider adopting out a kitten older than 4 months. Each foster home knows the kitten’s personalities best, and we follow their recommendations for single placements.
You can meet Lumberjack at Wilmette Pet, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750 www.wilmettepetcenter.com). Although you may want to adopt him on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.
Lumberjack's estimated date of birth is 4/18/16. His adoption fee of $135 includes her vet exam, FVRCP vaccinations, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and neuter.
