I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Kermit's Story...
Kermit is a Whippet mix. He was rescued from Pima Animal Control where he had been removed from an animal hoarding situation. He is also under-socialized with people, so he will require patience. He would love to be in a home with another dog. Kermit is so precious. He loves to be touched and has the cutest eyes. He is being treated for valley fever and will require medication for at least 6 months, so he will be adopted as a special needs dog. If you would like to donate toward Kermit's care before he is adopted, we would be very appreciative. We are still stretched financially from the end of live racing at Tucson track, but we wanted to reach out and give Kermit a chance to find a home through AGR. Please use the "Donate" button above. And please be aware that any extra money left over from Kermit's care will go to helping our other hounds.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kermit, a Tucson Whippet/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Whippet/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Tucson, or seeking a Whippet/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Whippet/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Whippet/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
