Here's what the humans have to say about me:
THIS IS A COURTESY POST. IF INTERESTED, RESPOND DIRECTLY TO EMAIL ADDRESS AT END OF THIS BIOGRAPHY.
Beautiful Savannah is an 85# Great Dane-Lab mix. Her owners had her tied to a porch and gave her up because she was too big. At 1- year-old, she is still a puppy with an interest in chewing, but she is smart and very easy to train. She is house trained, knows some basic commands and has good house manners, preferring to view life with her feet on the floor instead of on the furniture. She is okay on the leash, pulling only in the beginning of a walk.
Savannah meets new people and dogs easily. She doesn't generally jump up, but will get excited when meeting older kids. She plays well with other large dogs, and seems uninterested in cats unless they run which, of course, invites a chase.
Savannah enjoys affection but isn't that interested in snuggling. She has great eye contact and generally stays close to her person. She responds well to attention and praise as a reward and somewhat to food. She hasn't shown fearfulness at all, just a gentleness of spirit. Savannah usually waits for an invitation to approach someone, which is much appreciated from a large puppy.
Savannah's favorite things are tennis balls (she loves to fetch), bones or kongs, running in the yard and playing with other dogs. She is very good in the car.
Savannah needs a family that knows Great Danes and has the time to continue her training. We would caution about her with small children simply because of her size and age. She will need a secure yard with lots of room to run. For additional information, please contact moseskid@gmail.com.
