Ariel's Story...
This girl has had a rough life and we would love to see that end with her next home. She is 6 months old and has lived in 5 different homes. She came to us a sweet, loveable girl despite being bounced around so much. Despite her "grouchy eyebrows" that make her look like she's always in a bad mood, she loves other dogs, tummy rubs, playing with toys, and follows her person wherever they go. She is working on housebreaking and has learned to use puppy pads also. Ariel is only about 6 pounds so she's a "petite" girl! If you'd like to add her to your family please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an online application. Ariel is being fostered in West TN and will be transported once her adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ariel, a Southington Dachshund/Poodle (Miniature) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Southington, or seeking a Dachshund/Poodle (Miniature) puppy from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Dachshund/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
