Bella's Story...
Bella was a neglect case for the rescue. She barely had any hair, her feet and skin were swollen and she was bright pink. You couldn't even tell what color she was. She had a skin infection, a toe infection and skin allergies that we had to deal with. Due to the length of neglect, some of her hair has yet to grow back. Within 3 months of being in rescue, she now has her hair back. She's such a sweet girl. She's about 5 years old. House broken, crate trained, loves people and kids and has no problem with other dogs or cats. We believe she could have also been abused by men, as it takes her a really long time to warm up to men. She needs a home that will understand she needs patience to build that trust again. Very timid but a perfect dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Port Charlotte American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Port Charlotte, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Port Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
