Clint's Story...
As Clint Eastwood said in The Bridges of Madison County, "This kind of certainty comes but just once in a lifetime."

Meet Clint Sansalimb, one of our two three-legged kitties. We are certain that Clint is just the purrfect companion for a special someone who would be willing to adopt this very handsome, very loving amputee kitty. Although he is missing his right, hind leg after someone shot him and shattered the limb, Clint has adapted like he's always had three legs. And we can't say enough how loving and affectionate he is. Clint gets along well with our other cats but would be best suited in a home with no dogs or small children. Clint is neutered, up-to-date on shots and microchipped. If you'd like to meet him call 502-222-7537 or email jojohsoc@aol.com. You can find our application at humanesocietyoldhamcounty.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clint, a LaGrange Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in LaGrange, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in LaGrange.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LaGrange already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LaGrange breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LaGrange paves the way for another one to be saved.
