Emilianna SOS's Story...
AVAILABLE 07-09-16 Emilianna was originally brought to the Shelter by an Animal Control Officer on 01-03-12. She was adopted in June 2012 by a nice lady who truly loved and cared for her. Unfortunately, her owner passed away and there was no one to take Emilianna, so she was returned to the Shelter on 07-06-16. Emilianna is a real love bug who is housetrained, spayed, vaccinated and heart worm negative. She loves to take leash walks and just hang out with you. Emilianna has gained a little weight over the last 4 years, so she could use some walks and exercise. Since she's 6 years old sweet Emilianna qualifies for our SOS (Save Our Seniors) program which means her adoption fee is half to an age 55 or older adopter. Be sure to meet Emilianna when you come to the Shelter, you won't regret it.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emilianna SOS, a Elizabeth City American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
