King's Story...
Hi! My name's King, and I'm looking for a new castle! The people here at Animal Friends of Westmoreland are nice and everything, but it's not the same as having an family of my own to love and spoil me. They're guessing I'm around 2 years old, and am a terrier mix of some kind. I'm a very sweet little guy, who LOVES attention! Would you be my new best friend?!?

Prior to being adopted I will be up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and will have a microchip. All I need now is YOU!! The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

King, a Youngwood Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
