Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Up for adoption: Gus.
Gus can be adopted in Texas and New England.
Gus is about 84lbs of loving, fun, lunk head labbie! If you know labs and their personalities you'll get what that means. He's awesome!!
Gus has a lot of energy and would love a home where he could run and exercise. In his foster home he lives with two other labs and he is incredibly dog friendly! He goes to dog daycare a couple days a week and does very well there. Gus had no problem passing "the test" needed for assessment to be accepted.
Gus is incredibly smart and will be very receptive to more training ! He doesn't get he's huge ! LOL! But at his very soul he is incredibly sweet. He does know "sit" and his foster parents are working on "down" and "stay" along with "settle."
His foster mom thinks he'd do well with older kids, just because of his size. Gus is not incredibly food motivated but has a pretty intense "prey" drive and LOVES squeaky toys
Gus is decent on a leash and is okay with a collar but is better with a harness
Gus is not a fan of the crate, but left out of the crate he has been great about not having any accidents in the house and seems to be responsive to the "go pee pee" command.
He is super dog friendly, has shown no desire to be the top dog and is receptive to corrections from other dogs and in fact would for sure benefit from being in a house with another dog to "show him the ropes."
Gus rides well in the car and just seems to want to be wherever his people are in the house.
He is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
