Here's what the humans have to say about me:
* * * ADOPTED! * * *
Meet Becky! She's a gentle, older Beagle who, through no fault of her own, is in need of a home. Both of her humans have serious health issues and are unable to care for her any longer. Becky is currently living with a family member, but this is a very temporary arrangement until a foster home or suitable adopter can be found. Becky is in good health, is current on vaccinations, has already been spayed and microchipped, is on monthly heartworm preventative and is fed a special diet. She is housetrained and crated trained too.
Becky has been around children when she was younger and was always good, but she'd prefer a quiet home with adults and older kids. She has never lived with cats. She isn't particularly interested in other dogs, but tolerates the 75 lb. Rottweiler that tries to play with her. She doesn't like rough play by humans or dogs.
Becky needs a home where she can be taken out every few hours. She doesn't like being left alone and would do best in a home where someone is around most of the day. She's a happy couch potatoes that would love nothing more than to curl up in your warm lap or gaze dreamily out the window.
Becky's exercise requirements are minimal and she enjoys going for walks in the neighborhood, but like most Beagles she needs a securely fenced yard if she is going to be off leash.
Becky is a sweet girl who is a bit confused about all of the recent changes in her life. She has a lot of love to give that special someone who has a soft spot for senior Beagles. Could it be you?
IMPORTANT: Safe Hounds Beagle Rescue does not operate a shelter where the public can meet our dogs. All of our Beagles are cared for in a loving foster home. Prospective adopters must submit an adoption application and be pre-approved to adopt. Once an applicant is approved, we’ll begin a matching process—the right dog for the right home. Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will be approved. Please visit our web page: www.safehounds.com and click on "Adopting A Beagle" to learn more about the adoption process and to print our adoption application.
Unable to adopt? Please consider making a donation. By helping us we can continue to make a difference in the lives of these deserving dogs. We take in dogs with medical needs and behavioral problems that many other rescues turn away. We have lots of hungry hounds to feed and are always in need of financial support to help us meet the needs of the dogs in our care. Visit www.safehounds.com and click the "Donate" button to make an instant donation! All contributions are tax deductible.
This pet requires an application and an adoption donation.
