Austie's Story...
Austin is a adorable, wonderful Maltese mix, that is 8 years young (acts like a puppy). He has beautiful white hair, that is cut short right now but will grown long if you want it or keep him short in a puppy cut. He is the perfect size at about 9 lbs. He loves to go for walks and is great on a leash. He get a long great with other dogs big and small and loves to play with them. He is housetrained and is good in the house when left alone. He is good with older children and would love to have a family of his own to play with. Austie recently had a dental done has already been neutered, microchipped and has all of his shots. Austie came to us when his owner passed away and we were asked to find him another wonderful home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Austie, a San Diego Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
