Hero's Story...
Hero #15-140. Arrived 3/10/2015, at 4 years old.
Some of our stray dogs get a name based on a street where they were picked up or something significant to their street capture. Hero is one of those cases! Lucky for him, a staff member was having lunch at a local Subway shop when he was saved from getting hit by a car. Hero is a big chunk of hunk. He has a face like no other, and is a mellow fellow. Hero did test positive for Heartworm when he came in and he has been successfully treated while here. He has the King's throne in our quiet room ward and he loves to go for walks. Hero has mastered his basic commands and he has a very good sit stay which we used for him to show off his moving photos here. Hero loves treats and is open to learning lots of new tricks with this as his reward. Doesn't everybody deserve a Hero?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hero, a West Babylon Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in West Babylon, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in West Babylon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Babylon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Babylon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Babylon paves the way for another one to be saved.
