Simpson's Story...
Simpson came into the shelter with Jodi. He and Jodi's owner went to jail and there was no one to look out for the cats. So here they are! Simpson is a young male cat. He is between 1 and 3 years old. He is a very social cat. Seems to like people and other cats. He is a large guy at about 18 pounds! Is a fairly quiet guy, not the talker that his friend Jodi is. He is an affectionate guy and playful for as big as he is!

You can visit me during open hours, which are Monday through Friday from 9am-3pm and Saturdays from 10am-1pm or email to make an appointment for another time. Please see our website at palspetsia.com for adoption fees and other information!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simpson, a Grinnell Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Grinnell, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Grinnell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grinnell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grinnell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grinnell paves the way for another one to be saved.
