I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Meet Opie, a 9 lb. Chihuahua. At 3-4 years old, Opie is a super sweet little guy who’s happy all the time. His owner’s situation has changed and she cannot devote the time to him that he deserves, so she asked us if we could help to rehome him.
A little about Opie – he’s a little social butterfly and he loves going places in the car as well as for walks. He knows “sit” and “lay down” and he knows them even better if you’re holding a treat in your hand. Typical of his breed, he loves the lap and he likes to burrow under the blanket. He’s a little spoiled as he’s used to sleeping in bed at night with his person. Opie is comfortable around children and small dogs…larger dogs too, if they don’t bark at him.
Opie is mildly special needs as in the last year he had a few seizures, so he’s on a low dose of inexpensive medication which is working well. And we're told by the vet that this should not affect his lifespan. So if you have a great big heart, maybe you won’t mind this extra little bit of care. Opie is a lovely little dog who deserves a family and, ideally, a backyard...and the more laps, the better…older children would be a plus!
Opie’s adoption fee of $140 includes: vet exam, heartworm test (neg.), rabies, bordetella and distemper inoculations, routine deworming, flea control, heartworm prevention, microchip and neuter. There is no additional charge for the cute polka dots on his underside.
