My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Leia (HWTH#16248A). She is a Chihuahua mix, DOB: 1/1/16 (her sibling is Jedi). Leia weighs approximately 6 pounds and stands 10 inches at the shoulders. She and Jedi were found in the desert near a housing tract living under trash and mattresses. A friend of a volunteer with Halfway to Home was able to catch Jedi but it took more volunteers from Halfway to Home to trap Leia. She is a little skittish at first meeting strangers but soon warms up to you. She loves to be held (feels safe in your arms) and likes her belly rubbed. Once she is comfortable, she is playful and loves stuffed toys. Leia is a climber so can not go to a home with chain link or metal fencing. She will do best in a home where someone can give her the time and love she so desperately craves. Leia does not do well in crates (although she is improving) and will need to be leash trained and potty trained. For more information on Leia, please contact Suzanne at tele # 661-824-4495.
